PEACH family activity day at Baytree

On Monday of half term, the PEACH team put on a family activity day for all mums and daughters (and some brothers!). The theme of the day was ancestry and cultural roots and turnout was fantastic!

To celebrate their diverse cultural heritage and to explore extended family links, mums and children got creative making their own family trees. The end products were proudly presented and shared with the rest of the group along with some funny little anecdotes about family members or pets. This was a great confidence building exercise for both mums and girls and an opportunity for them to practice their public speaking skills as well as laugh out loud at some incredibly entertaining and moving family stories from around the world.

Everyone was asked to bring in a home made and healthy snack to share and as usual, all the families rose to the occasion and put on a phenomenal healthy spread.

The party finished with some games and lots of hugs and a few tears as mums and girls said goodbye to Maria, our Parent Coordinator, who is about to have her fourth baby boy. A particularly memorable family day!
