We’re excited to be part of The xx’s Night + Day Brixton Festival

We are incredibly delighted and humbled to have been chosen as one of seven local charities the band The xx will be supporting as part of their ‘Night + Day Brixton’ series which takes place from March 8th to 15th.

We are also very excited that our very own Olive Ahmed will be speaking alongside Adwoa Abodah, Founder of Gurls Talk, at the GURL TALK event at Whirled Cinema as part of the ‘Night + Day’ festival on March 9th. Tickets are £5, with proceeds going to the supported charities.

‘We are so happy to be bringing Night + Day to Brixton. Growing up in south London, we were lucky to have one of the world’s most legendary venues, Brixton Academy, on our doorstep. It’s the venue where we had so many of our formative musical experiences so it’s a huge privilege to to able to spend eight days at this special place in the company of some of our favourite musicians and DJs in the world today. It’s an honour we don’t take lightly and we’re equally excited to be collaborating with local radio, cinema, promoters and venues on some incredible programmes and events, as well as teaming up with some vital local charities to show our appreciation.’ – The xx
