One Donation Twice the Impact

We are very excited to announce that Baytree has been selected to participate in the Summer Give “Champion For Children Campaign” supported by The Children Trust.

Our project is “Making  Summer Special for Girls”. It will support 100 girls who will attend our summer activities programme.

Our campaign starts on Tuesday  6th of June until the 20th of June, and our goal is to raise £12,000. Most importantly, each donation during this period will be doubled. Here is the LINK to Baytree – Big Give campaign!

Making Summer Special for Girls

We want to give opportunities for girls from disadvantaged socio economic backgrounds in London to have an exciting summer full of fun, experiences and new life chances to enjoy the summer, recharge, improve their confidence and skills and build new friendships in a safe space

Situation

The Baytree Centre in Brixton is a community organization that is trying to address the issue of poverty faced by women and girls in the local area. It aims to provide educational and training opportunities to help these women and girls break the cycle of poverty and improve their life chances. Some of the specific problems the Baytree Centre is trying to solve include: Lack of education and job opportunities: Low self confidence; Isolation; poor wellbeing.

Solution

By providing access to education, training, and job readiness programs, we help  girls acquire the skills they need to access better jobs and achieve financial stability. We build the confidence and self-esteem of the girls we serve, helping them develop skills that will increase their ability to succeed.

Baytree provides a supportive and inclusive community promoting a sense of belonging. Positive activities help girls improve their wellbeing, develop skills and friendships.
