Corona Virus Update

In light of the increasing spread of the corona virus, we’re sorry to announce that we have taken the difficult decision to suspend services at the Centre, in order to keep our women, girls, volunteers and staff safe. In this climate of uncertainty, it is important to us to continue supporting our women and girls to the best of our abilities. The situation is a very challenging one and for many it will have an adverse impact on their financial and emotional well-being as well as their health. We are therefore working hard to put systems in place that will allow us to continue offering coaching, mentoring, ESOL classes and group sessions as well as support on how to cope with the self-isolation process online and via phone.
We will be posting regular updates on our work and how are adapting to meet the needs of our women and girls on our social media channels (please follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook). All staff will be working remotely and can therefore still be contacted via email and phone: Senior Management: caroline@baytreecentre.org.uk, carmen@baytreecentre.org.uk / 07956 146955; Youth Service: olive@baytreecentre.org.uk / 07944 532096; Women’s Service: marta@baytreecentre.org.uk / 07507 410419; Volunteer Service: angela@baytreecentre.org.uk / 07494 679713.
We will review the closure of the Centre after Easter and will continue to provide updates on this too via our social media channels and website.
We would like to say a special thank you to our volunteers, donors and funders for their ongoing and wonderful support.
And lastly, please follow government guidelines and don’t take any unnecessary risks. Stay safe and healthy and remember to be be kind to people because ‘kindness is free to give but priceless to receive’ – RAKtivist
