Hi, my name is Sahara and I’ve been coming to Baytree for about six years now.
My favourite part about being in the EmpowerHER Summer Programme last year was when we went to roller disco. Roller-skating was a new thing that I learnt to do during the programme and now I really enjoy it.
One moment that really stayed with me was when we went to Parliament and saw The Sovereign’s Throve where the King sits once a year.
The programme helped me boost my confidence with roller-skating; I’ve really enjoyed skating after the trip, and it was really fun trying to skate with my friends but then falling.
What I would say to someone who is thinking to donate to the programme is that we want to give the girls good trips and outings. If we don’t get enough donations, this won’t be possible. So make sure to donate to EmpowerHER to give the girls a good summer!
