Did you know…
Without the security of free school meals, without parents able to afford time off work and with the loss of purposeful activities and structure provided by schools, summer holidays, for many vulnerable children, do not evoke joyful memories of endless fun and holidays in the sun.
Last year your donations during the Summer Give ensured that South London’s girls had an unforgettable summer of fun. From searching for dinosaurs in Crystal Palace Park, getting all hands on at the Science Museum, to feeding the animals at Vauxhall City Farm and building sandcastles in Southend-on-Sea, for many girls, last summer was a time to overcome challenges, learn amazing new skills and make wonderful friendships.
With your help, we are aiming to raise £4900 during this years’ Summer Give.
By donating between 12pm Monday 10th June and 12pm Monday 17th June, you will not only have your donations doubled but also ensure that, this year too, our girls will have a summer to remember.
We’ve got some fantastic workshops and trips lined up including a Samba and percussion workshop celebrating and exploring culture through music, a gardening programme where girls will learn how to save bees and harvest vegetables, swimming in Brockwell Lido, a Zine making workshop with South London Gallery, a picnic in Wimbledon Common, a trip to the Horniman Museum and of course our annual seaside trip but WE NEED YOU TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN!
Thank you!
