Happy Summer from the team of us all at Baytree! With the term drawing to an end, the holidays are around the corner and for us that means two weeks of exciting, educational, friend making, explorative activities and workshops for girls in and around the community.
This year we have designed our program so that it caters to lots of girls whether they are sporty, arty, shy or an entrepreneur in the making. For the creative types, we have a film and documentary workshop with a local actress, writer and director. For our explorers, we are heading to Slade Gardens and teaming up with Urban Growth to deliver a gardening workshop and learning how to make sun photography. For those who have lots of energy and love a competition, we have both swimming and a sports day filled with lots of unique tournaments and games. Finally, amongst many other activities we have designed some day trip to educate and stimulate learning such as going to the BFI to watch a 3D Wild African Safari, going to the Horniman Museum and Aquarium and much much more.
At Baytree we also really recognise the importance of the summer holidays for mums, allowing them to get quality bonding time with their children. Therefore, this year we are hosting a bring and share mother-daughter picnic, encouraging families to meet, make new friends within the community and share their homemade summer recipes.
If you would like to sign you daughter up to the summer program, please do so at reception where we have registration slips or via email to youth@baytreecentre.org.uk
Have a lovely season of sun!
