World Cup 2026 Sweepstake

This World Cup, Play for Something that Matters

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is here – and whether you’re a die-hard football fan or just in it for the drama, there’s a brilliant way to get involved that could make a real difference for the women and girls we support in Brixton.

A sweepstake is one of the simplest, most fun ways to bring people together and raise money for a cause you care about. Here’s everything you need to know to get one going.

How it works:

  • Decide on an entry amount – £5 or £10 per person works well
  • Write all the World Cup teams on slips of paper (or use a free online randomiser)
  • Each participant draws a team at random
  • Follow the tournament together and see whose team goes furthest
  • The participant whose team wins the tournament takes the prize!

How to split the pot:

You get to decide how the money is divided. Some popular options:

  • 50% to the winner, 50% donated to Baytree
  • Donate the full pot to Baytree and offer a non-cash prize instead — a half day annual leave, a trophy, or bragging rights

Getting started:

You can run it in your workplace, school, community group, amongst friends or family. The more the merrier!

Where the money goes:

At Baytree, football is closer to home than you might think. We run football sessions with our young girls, using the sport as a way to build confidence, teamwork and a sense of belonging. So while you’re following your team through the tournament, you’d be helping more girls in Brixton discover a love for the game too.

Every pound raised goes towards supporting Baytree’s work with women and girls in Brixton, from our mentorship programmes and youth activities to life skills workshops that open doors for the future. Your sweepstake could help fund sessions, trips, and experiences that genuinely change the direction of a young person’s life.

Ready to get involved?

Once your sweepstake wraps up, you can donate your proceeds directly to Baytree here: DONATE
